I was diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst, and then told it was not a big deal, very common, probably been there my whole life, etc... however I am pregnant. I am nearing delivery and still can not get in to see a neurologist to consult about the million questions I have. I basically was diagnosed and sent home from the ER. I am curious if it being at the base of my spinal cord would affect my having an epidural. Can it cause any damage to me to recieve one? To not recieve one? To push? Will it burst? Will it help it to not rupture? Or is it a non factor? Im very nervous. I have two children, both vaginal deliveries, with epidurals, but I was unaware of the cyst at those times. Now that I know its there, its all I can think of. If anyone knows anything, id sure appreciate some answers or guidance in a right direction... please... thank you so much

Hi! I know this post is old but I'm in this same position now and Ive found no info on this. I've been to several neurosurgeons and getting different opinions. Would you mind letting me know what resulted?
