Can I take plan b after 2 days?

This happend to me also. I went to the doctor two days after I had unprotected sex, and that was the day I came on my period. My doc said just take it in case because everyone's bodies work differently. SOmetimes you can come on your period and still be pregnant. But as long as its within 72 hours you'll be fine. Its been 8 days since I've taken plan b and I'm still bleeding. I never have had a period that's lasted this long, so I'm guessing it's because of the effect of Plan B on me, so that's the only thing that's worrying me so far, but if taking plan b would make you feel safer about an unplanned pregnancy, I would do it.

if you got your period now, it shouldnt be necessary to take plan B
cos that makes you bleed , but as you already bleeding it should be ok

I'm just curious but what if you take a plan b pill before you have sex, would it work days or hours before?
