My mother is 61 years old and has just returned from the operation. Her left breast was removed due to malign tumor. Now, she is beginning radiotherapy in order to kill remaining cells, if there are any. Doctor explained that she will have problems because of that treatment and prescribed her with Marinol. Can that drug be administrated intravenously?
Unfortunately, even though radiotherapy is needed and required, it is not something that could be withstood easily. There are numerous side effects, nausea and vomiting being the most serious. That is where Marinol enters the picture, subduing those symptoms. Without this type of drugs, radiotherapy would be a real nightmare. As for applying, I have only heard of oral way, not any other.
