can nobothin cyst cause you to not get preganant and have fertility problems

I was just told that i have nobothin cyst. For the past 9 years I have tried to get preganat but have been unsecessful. Could the cyst be the casue? My Dr. informed me that I would have to have invitro to be able to have a child. Could they actually prevent sperm from entering the uterus? Your answer would be a great ease of mind
