For the past year I have had terrible problems with heavy HEAVY periods and major clotting. When I say heavy I mean running down my leg and when I say clotting I mean clots the size of my palm. Frequently. I usually don't go more than 7 days without bleeding. Sometimes it will be for an hour, sometimes for a day, sometimes for a week. It's so iregular I can't keep up. The pain is so intense it makes me nauseous.
Today I saw a gyno for the first time in two years and had an internal ultrasound done. She said I had a bicornuate and tilted uterus, and that my uterine wall was EXTREMELY thick. She also diagnosed me with PCOS. She wants to start me on a hormone to help thin my uterine wall... and is also considering a D&C.
I'm extremely terrified because I'm (of course) looking online and a lot of symptoms I have point to endometrial cancer. I'm wondering if this could be a real posbility because I've let it go for so long and was wondering if you've had any experience with anything like this.
A few extras: I'm 21, had my first and only child at 19, anemic, and I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I'm also not on birth control.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I'm very scared.
