Hey guys I just stopped smoking 8 days ago and I have been smoking for about 20 years. I feel the same very tired throughout the day and when not at work I will take 2-3 naps a day. Totally normal I quit for 6 years from 06-13 and I encountered the same issue. Just hang in there because there is light at the end of the tunnel. But that doesn't mean it don't suck. But it's all worth while

I was having the same issue. I ate a big steak and it went away. I have tried to quit in the past and had these symptoms. It's almost as if you become anemic for a few weeks. By the time I get to a month of not smoking the symptoms don't come back and I can return to my regular diet. I'm not a doctor, but try eating a steak and see if you feel better. At worst it can't hurt.

I know this thread is old but I thought I would chime in as I quit weed about 8 weeks ago and had a host of withdrawal symptoms. I smoked about 3 or 4 times a week for about 3 years. I quit cold turkey and I went through some of the worst days of my life. The first thing I will say is all of your symptoms will go away with time. This could take days, weeks or months but it will progressively get better during that time. Don't worry about the time frame just hang in there for as long as it takes. Symptoms could be: fatigue, insomnia, depression, anxiety, brain fog, dizziness, appetite increase/decrease and others. Don't freak yourself out about all of the symptoms. Your are fine. The most important thing to do is try and sleep as much as possible and eat as much as possible. You will probably go through phases. Sometimes you are more tired than normal other times you won't be able to sleep much. You might not want to eat anything for a while and then all of a sudden want to eat everything. You might have anxiety attacks but just keep telling yourself that you are ok because you are. After 8 weeks I am eating normally, sleeping pretty well but not back to normal, brain fog is dissapating but still present. The first few weeks the symptoms can be very strong. Don't worry about it just keep eating, sleeping and exercising. Commit to going for a 30 minute walk everyday. Eat all the food you can. You probably won't want to eat anything healthy so don't worry about that. Just get calories and nutrients in your body. Remember the symptoms will go away and you will get back to normal just hang in there and try not to worry about it. Peace.

I take a break every month for 5 days exactly. I experience that fatigue and low energy every time. It's very strange.

I am on day 3 and i feel knackered 24/7 i am guessing its just the chemical inbalance in my brain.
My bro quit and he said it took him 2 months for the positives to take affect.
I have smoked an oz aweek for the last 20 years .
I can see a big change in my bro since he quit thats why i decided to quit.

Been smoking everyday since I'm 14 now I'm 38. I've been clean for 9 days and also sleeping alot more than usual. Sweaty sleeps sometimes. I wake up and my hair is wet lol. My dreams are so vivid and I actually remember them. That's quite annoying cuz most of them are nightmares. But I feel better and better each passing day. I been through this before I quit for 3 months when I was 24. I always remembered feeling so much better and telling myself I would never go back to smoking everyday. Well it didn't last and I went back to the same routine. Had to quit cuz the weed now a days is just to damn strong. To all those who are quiting keep up the good work and you will be pleased at what you can accomplish when your not stoned everyday .

I smoked weed, a lot of weed like 10+ bongs a day, everyday for around 15 years. I'm into my third week of quitting and finding it relatively easy but I have just started to feel really tired and lethargic, just want to sleep all the time! I'm very active and eat well but just can't seem to get going this week. Not been to the gym all week and can't get up for my alarms. Feel like sh*t to be honest! hope it's just a bad week and maybe not related.... gonna try vitamins as stated in previous comments. Well done to all the quitters, people don't know how hard it is, you have to be ready to quit for yourself..... keep going! ✌

I quit a few weeks ago. And it seems like I can't get enough sleep. Even if I sleep for 10 hour I wake up and want to go right back to bed.
