i got put on Suboxone 3 years ago and was doing fine for a year while taking 4ml a day. i started relapsing and playing the waiting game. take the tab, wait 2 days, get high for s few days, than take the Suboxone to stop the sick. however for the last year my addiction came back full speed and i have been shooting dope every day. for the past few months i have been trying to stop by taking Suboxone again, but it doesn't seem to be working like i remember. i wake up sick, so i take sometimes 8 sometimes 12 ml and i wait to feel better, better never comes, i feel the sickness becoming stronger and stronger so i go get dope. although i cant get high off it, it still takes away my sick. i don't understand why its not working any more? have i become immune to it? am i not taking enough?

I dont know a lot about this except that a friend of mines's son was addicted to oxycontin..smoking it and I mean really hooked. he went on suboxone 8 months ago and has had no problems at all.Says you really need to want to stop in order for the suboxone to work..so endure being sick until it does work..eventually it will work

Ok the id**t who responded about u have to want it? They are wrong. This happened to me. U can become immune to it. I used to take it and it worked amazing had no withdrawals. Now I take it. Nothing. Not a damn thing. It's not that I don't "want" it to work believe me anyone who has felt withdrawals knows YOU WANT IT TO WORK.

You're getting sick because if you don't wait until all opiates are completely out of your system, taking suboxone will send you into immediate withdrawls. Suboxone is to be used as a tool to help you maintain sobriety,not to use when you can't score dope. Switching between dope and suboxone is just asking for trouble. I wouldn't use it unless you're serious about recovery.

Yeah sorry but that's not always the case. I was on subs and nothing else for over 2 years, relapsed due to my marriage falling apart, I only used for a month. No more than a gram a day. Waited 27 hours till I took a sub...4 more 8 mg pills later I was still sick. Been taking them for the past week with still no relief. I had recovery, I made a mistake and quickly pulled myself out but now they're not working. I don't want to get high, I just don't want to be sick and the detox from suboxone can take several months. Not sure what to do.
