I am 43 now. When I was 22 I had my first ectopic pregnancy which resulted in the removal of my right ovary and right fallopian tube. Two years later I had another ectopic pregnancy which resulted in the removal of my left tube. Thank God my second tubal pregnancy resulted in a female physician performing my surgery because she didnt remove my left tube. She told me she left the tube just in case I wanted to try IVF to conceive at a later date. Well, 7 years later my husband and I opted to give IVF a try. It was costly, but by God's Grace, we conceived our son Nicholas. My pregnancy was awesome. I didnt experience any complications, not one day of morning sickness and he was full term. Nicholas will be 11 in September. If God did it for us, He can do it for you.

Hi everyone
Wow i had no idea so many people out there were going through the same stuff as us.
I have had 6 miss carragers the last one was in my tube and eurpted, it was emergency sergary, they had tomtake my left tube and founf out i dont have a right one ???? It was all abit strange. I later found out i have an unicornaute utrus or something like that. We can no longer try naturaly for a baby so ivf is the go for us. Even though my chancers of carring are very low i really want to give it a go. Ive just turned 29 so there is planty of time right.
As for the periods question yep you still get them, mine are quite painfull always on the left side too. I most likely have scar tissue from the surgery. I get to eat more chocolate lol my husband just goes and gets it now i dont even have to ask lol
I wish you all the very best with everything.

I know your post was over a year ago and I don't know if you've tried IVF but I have a friend who had both Fallopian tubes removed, still have her ovaries. She did the IVF, first time it failed, but the second time she ended up pregnant with two boys!! Don't know if you've done it already, but good luck.

Never say no way. I have been on Alot if forums and seen a lot of people conceiving naturally with no tubes. It has taken a number of years but it has happened for many. I am lying in my hospital bed right now after having my second eptopic taking my 2nd tube and even though in my case in my country i become eligable for free ivf i will be staying possitive about concieving naturally. There is no such thing as never or impossible just stay positive ALWAYS :)

I had my tubes tied and had to get my right ovary removed because there was an demorid tumor attached to it. Now it has been 2009 and i have not had a period. My doctor said it was normal but my friend's doctor said no it was not. I am finally going to see a new doctor next month.

Wow ladies this is interesting ! I've had two ectopics ok the right side - one was treated with methotrexate and the second time they had to remove the right tube . The left is badly damaged and the potential to conceive naturally is non existent . I did 8 rounds of Ivf and got my little girl :-) she's 1 now. ( my miracle baby ) as long as u do have at least one ovairy u can do Ivf :-) . I have heard so many stories of people being told they can't conceive - they do Ivf and have a child then later find out later they fell naturally ... Anything is possible sometimes .

So happy to have also found this! I too am just going through my second ectopic - which left me tubeless! It's a heartbreaking thing to go through - loosing two pregnancies but also the ability to conceive naturally. So much to deal with and get your head around.
We are however planning for IVF in approx 6 months time (been told to wait 6 months as they first tried to treat me with the methotrexate first which unfortunately didn't work so they had to operate any how!). But the 6 months is probably a blessing as i need that time to heal! But it's so reassuring to hear so many of you have gone on to have beautiful children via IVF. I'm so incredibly nervous about IVF, but I figure if we've fallen pregnant twice we should be ideal candidates!
Thanks for sharing ladies - I'd love to put a book together one day with a collection of people's stories on ectopics. It's such an unknown issue and there's such a lack of understanding and awareness around it! I really think it would help so many if they knew they weren't alone when faced with learning they have an ectopic and to then learn it is possible to come out the other side! XX

I'm so happy to hear that IVF was a success for you and your husband. It is great to hold on to hope. My daughter just had both Fallopian tubes removed and she is 24 years old. As her mom, I'm heartbroken on so many levels. She was diagnosed in October 2015 of stage 4 Endometriiosis. The fact that she went for her OB GYN appointments and during the year complaining about severe menustrual cramps makes me upset. If it were diagnosed earlier perhaps she would still have her tubes. I know, we can't worry about what could have been, but it is important to me to advocate for girls and all women. If you have severe cramps, no that it isn't normal and please sea specialist who is a OB GYN that specializes in menustrual disorders. Ask how many robotic laparoscopies they have performed. Please!! This disease isn't discussed much for some unknown reason, maybe it is the age old stigma associated with a woman being bare no don't know, but it is a dreadful and incurable disease that needs to be diagnosed early and a cure found.

Im 21 yrs old with no children i had my ectopic pregnancy in oct 2014 and now a second in January 2016. My doctor told me that the only way I could get pregnant was with IVF. A week after surgery I was given the OK to have sex,
Here's the thing whilst going threw the second ectopic I had PV bleeding which I thought was my period and it started the week before I ended up in hospital and finished the week later. Which if my calculations are correct by the end of this following week will make the fourth week since my "period" ? Could I be pregnant

I have now lost both my tubes, i am 34 years old, I am health with no medical problems. I have been looking into IVF and its expensive. My treatment will be about 31,000.00 (Meds, egg removal, testing exc.) before having a consultation I could not get a price or around about price to know what was my husband an I options are. To see if we could afford IVF. My heart is hurting because insurance will NOT cover anything to do with IVF!, but they cover everything to prevent LIFE ( birth control) or destroy LIFE (abortion) I feel this is so un fair as I did not choose to have this infertility problem. No women would choose this. An were we pay for insurance an the one thing we need it it turns its back on us. I wish insurance would choose to cover giving life over destroying life. With the cost of IVF my husband an I will never be able to become parents. I feel less of a women, an a failure my one wish desire will never be able to happen do to money. Emotionally broken after one ectopic pregnancy, and a emergency c-section, and now having no tube. Hope I was able to help someone with the info I have shared. Best of luck lady's. Xoxo

So I believe its possible...Try not to stress out when you do try to have a baby...first baby took me over 2 years to conceive naturally and 3 months for my second..good luck!
