Hello,

My husband works for the oilfield and caustic splashed on his face. He started swelling up and couldnt see. He asked to go to the ER but his driller made him continue working for 30 to 40 more min. After that he couldnt take the burning anymore and asked to go to the ER again. They finally said ok and made him drive himself from the job site to the ER which was like 45 min away. He could barely see and his face was burning but made it to the hospital. Can he file a lawsuit? What can we do for this injustice?

i am no expert, but by the sounds of it he could. you might want to schedule a free consultation with a lawyer and find out. and since it happened on the job he employer should have to pay for it if he was following all the procedures and wearing the correct equipment.

The rig didnt have any safety equipment that OSHA requires and my husband told the safety guy. the employees were not provided with any. But after his accident Im pretty sure thay have all necessary equipment.
