After reading other posts, I feel like I was one of the first LEEP procedure patients in 1993 at a major university hospital. My cervical dysplasia was staged as level 1, 2 and 3a.  So, it was quite serious. I am now in my mid 40's and did not have children or ever become pregnant.  My gynecologist states that I have considerable scarring on my cervix from the procedure. I have no other menstrual complications and have had a clean bill of health for about 25 years. I was told by my doctor that the scar tissue might not hold up during a normal pregnancy, but that there are ways to support a baby to full term.

So, it seems best to take care of your own health and prevent the spread of Cancer by having the procedure done.
