changes of cervix during early pregnancy

So why did my doctor tell me that my cervix was closed at 6 weeks and that was great because i was experiencing bleeding and I thought i was having a miscarriage..

Uhh yes it does become closed after conception because right before my miscarriage that is one if the things my dr checked forabd said it was closed which was a good thing he said ..unfortunately I still miscarried a few days later abd my cervix was closed then to which made it hard for me to expel the tissue and I had to have a D&C

ok well i have a question , i checked my cervix and there was a ball like thing in there does that mean my cervix are closed and im pregnant?

 

I had my hpt come out positive 8 days after sex so you can not say for sure she was to early to have symptoms before 7.days afyer sex I already had symptoms and knew I was pregnant

They obviously didnt know and thought it was safe to ask the question here. But I guess they were wrong because we have bullies on here. Go back to high school missy where you belong. You should read up on the internet but you need to make sure what your reading is accurate. (verify with research articles, mayo clinic, ect). Read up and see your doctor. DO NOT DO ANYTHING UNTIL YOU'VE TALKED WITH YOUR DOCTOR. Reading up is how I caught my ectopic pregnancy at 4 week, thus saving my fallopian tubes and preventing infertility on my left side.

the cervix always feels like a ball whether your pregnant or not.

Honestly, sometimes it takes a couple of days for the semen to fully leak from me... it's weird!! And this time around, I haven't noticed any semen leakage except for a dime sized amount on one day and I KNOW that there was more in there!! Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Your an id**t. SHOW applies to ovulation...when the cervix is open you are either bleeding or in labor....the cervix closes and develops a mucus plug to protect the baby!

SHOW (Soft, High, Open & Wet) does refer to Ovulation

As for pregnancy, the cervix goes high and soft, kind of like it's open, but it's still closed because the mucus plug is now in place to hold the pregnancy.

The reason it goes soft is because the high levels of progesterone that are being used to sustain the pregnancy.

This came happen just before your period is due up to 6 weeks.... so a lot of women and doctors say it's not a good way of determining pregnancy, but it doesn't hurt to think so :)

As far as the CM goes, you usually do get more of it and it becomes very lotion like...  if it's sticky and there's not much of it, that's usually a tell sign of not being pregnant.  The best way to describe it is, you're going to the bathroom thinking your period is here, but it's not, but you feel like you just bled out but all you find is CM.  That's a good sign :)  If you've had that happen, I suggest you go out and get  pregnancy test and test test test! :)

Im 8weeks pregnant and at my doctors appt. during my papsmear I was told my cervix looked raw but I have not been experiencing discharge or bleeding....

I had 4 children and the doctor at all times of pregnancy duri my paps said the cervix was closed. I have only heard that the cervix closes during pregnancy, and doesnt stay open

Hi I am just wondering if anyone can help me I found out I was pregnant 3 weeks ago, and last weekend I started bleeding which got worse through the week. I went the hospital on Friday and they done tests on me and told me I only had a faint positive but when they done an internal scan they said my cervix was still closed so it wasn't signs of a miscarriage just yet. The hospital said its still to early to do a scan but to do another home pregnancy test in a few days.

can any one help me or give me a bit of advice.

How do u know ur cervix is blue? Not being rude just don't understand how U would be able to see this ??
