i had a chemical burn about a week or so ago on my vagina from using nair.. the chemical burn healed then it started itching so i scratched then the outer part of my vagina lips started to swell with little knots and it irritated the hell out of me for about 2 days.. NOW no knots or anything BUT the outer part of my vagina and almost to my booty cheeks look extremely dry and it's peeling... i have no burning or discolored discharge and my vagina doesn't smell at all. I used vaseline to put moisture in on it but after a few hours or so it looks dry again!! What can this be?

It seems just that your skin is recovering from the burns and injury. The chemicals definitely dried the skin out, so the best you can do is to use some soothing lotion until the skin recovers. But since it's already irritated you have to make extra sure that the area is clean and don't irritate it any further, just for a few days war cotton underwear and loose clothes. But, if it doesn't go away in a few days, you might need to see a doctor and get some prescription cream because irritated vaginal area can get infected very easily.

This happened to me about 5 years ago. This is very embarrassing. I still have irritating itching. Once I start itching I almost can't stop. The skin is ridiculously flaky and dry. I've tired everything. A&D, Neosporin, baby oil, cortisone 10, vitamin e oil, Vaseline, Jergins lotion, coco butter lotion, vegetables oil. I've even taken Benadryl at night to help with the night time itch. NOTHING works!! I've waited too long to see a doctor. Don't make my mistake! Make an appointment!! I'm so sick of this problem. It's been a year since u posted this. I hope u aren't still having issues!! It sucks! I know when paid day comes I'll be find a doctor to visit! Best of luck!!

Not to be to gruesome or anything but what did the chemical burn look like? I ask becuase i think im chemically burned from using nair as well, but comparing pics across the web my cooter looks like she could have herpes (i naired and had sex the same night). Ive already gone to the doctor and im awaiting test results.
