ive had a bad cough 4 at least 10 weeks .........i have greyish black flem ,sore chest n very deep hacking cough have tried natural remedies & medicine n chemist bought cough medicines specially for breaking up mucous but nothing really helped chest got worse to point of needing asthma puffer at night to be able to breathe.....many nites i wake sweating badly n its middle of winter!!! went to dr finally n was prescribed antibotics 4 a chest infection my wheezing was very loud and dr didnt need stethoscope to hear this :-( i took medicine plus repeat with little to no relief .........returned 2 dr who now says its microplasm on chest and gave more medicine i took that plus repeat but find chest is not real;ly improving i feel a little better but i know within days i will be back to worse again ...........i feel tired and have huge black saucers under eyes lately been dropping weight too ......not sure if dr has this right really as i feel like im not getting better .....heres hoping someone has an idea thank you and have a top day :-)

Poor thing! You have a serious health issue! You need to get to a specialist and if the doc you are seeing already is a respirtory specialist, you need to see another one! I don't know what you have. I wouldn't hazard a guess, but you definitely need to be seen until it is fixed.
Not to scare you, but it seems as though your immune system is in dire straits. Have you had an HIV test? You might want to, unless you are a virgin and have never used IV drugs, or received a blood transfusion. Just to be safe, you might want to check it. I know that people with HIV have horrible chest infections.
Please let me know what the doctor says.

thanks 4 the reply ...........im 33 years old with 3 children n a partner ....ive had aids test over the years not cos i thought i had but just checks i do b4 embarking on a relationship id like to know that both participants hehe were clean so to speak ....so no thats not asn issue ....im just going to a normal gp ....no specialists ..........ive finished my next course n am now going back to drs surgery today where yes ill be demanding bllod tests n an xray as this is too long it not only affects myself but my whole family !!!!!its like im running on empty i do take a very good vitamin from a health shop n also dont use any chemical products everything i use i make myself n have done for some time ...my chest at present feels like ive been doing mass amounts of exercise when i lift my arms it hurts ....aches .........im one too not make a fuss thinking dr knows best but i think its time to see another dr thank you agai 4 ur concerns

If I've had a chest infection for 2 weeks and have been on steroids and had antibiotics (amoxicilin) and still weasing, what shall I do? Have I got something else? Because I've had phumonia before all this. Does this sound like covid?
