I am 23 years old, female. Last week I felt sharp right sided chest pain. There is no fever or shortness of breath. I have never had any surgery or trauma of the chest, and I wasn’t taking any prescribed or non prescribed medications, but I am smoker. Although my blood pressure was little lower at that time 110/75 mm Hg. Next week I am going to have X- rays, but I am very scared. Does anyone know what this could be?

Once I also felt sharp chest pain on the right side. It appeared that I was stressed and I was massaging my right chest wall. The chest was normal to percussion but tender to palpation on the right side. But when they did closer examination, the breath sound on the right was described as tracheal or something like that I can’t remember now exactly. At the end it turned out that I am having pleural effusion.
