so yesterday I was cruising thought the forest at 70 or 75km/hour and I noticed this fallen tree but it was only 5s ahead of me, i couldnt turn because i was going to fast (trying to make my presence known to the animals in the area) and i ended up rolling the quad, the quad is okay because when we landed (myself and the quad) the quad was on top of me, all the weight of it on my right kidney area and I had to push it off myself with my legs (I'm a body builder so no probs) but after the weight was off me I noticed that my head neck torso and hips were all throbbing pretty intensely. I laid down for a few minutes to further check myself but I think I was in shock. Today I can't move my neck very much and when I take a deep breathe my whole torso starts to hurt. my upper back area is really really sore but that's kind of expected since I landed on my back. Any suggestions to what I should do? Go see a doctor? apply ice and leave it? I don't feel very injured but I'm worried I might have internal bleeding or something I'm female in case that changes anything
Hi Misty,
Have you noticed any problems urinating? Such as any blood? How about defecating? Do you notice any bruising?
You likely pulled several muscles and ligaments. You ARE going to be sore.
Are you having any trouble breathing? Dizziness? Severe pains? If you answer yes to any of them then get to a doctor ASAP.
Otherwise, just take some pain reliever - NOT ASPIRIN. Try a hot shower/bath. You'll probably be sore for a few days.
You can always go see a doctor. They may take some x-rays or a CT/MRI of your neck.
I don't want to say don't see a doctor but from what you've posted I don't see anything "screaming" at me for you to go to the emergency room. If it continues in 3 days or so OR your symptoms worsen then seek treatment.
