My 11 year old son has had recurrent stomach aches for the past few months. They are atleast 2 times a week. They rage from dull to gnawing pains. He also is always hungry. I understand he's growing but, an hour after he eats he's hungry again. He eats large meals and usually eats the same as my husband. We have had some stress in our family.
I was wondering if it's stress or could it be an intestinal worm???Or a possible ulcer. He doesn't express his feeling and holds alot of emotion in.
Thank you for your time

hi,
i have a very similar problem, i am a male of 17 years of age; recently i have suffered from alot of stress and ontop of that i have changed my diet and eat alot less calories, i use to eat alot before; my diet was very much like your son's, every time i ate a big meal about 30 mins later my stomach was hungry again. I'm not a doctor but i think that after a month of eating too much your stomach has to eat that much because its a pattern (diet); When i started this change i have encoutered stomach aches at night; nearly every night infact. the pain is dreadful and i loose about and hours worth of sleep. to help my self i drink plenty of water but it only cures it for about 20 mins and then i wake up again because of the pain. I have not yet seen a medical doctor but i really thinks its my new diet and my stomach use to the pattern of eating alot. I think that your son may have been affected from the stress and he may not know that he is eating to much or to little.
Hope it helps... Regards
