Hi,

Today in the afternoon, was just talking with my son and i breathed in like i would a thousand times a day but this time it was like my saliva or flem went in at the same time, instantly i was without breath, it took every ounce of energy i had to take in any air, my body was trying to cough but there was no air to expel, it took about 1 minute for the sensation to cease. I never coughed any flem up and I wasn't eating anything at the time. For the past two weeks or so I've had a very heavy TOP chest, I chalked it up to a pulled muscle or somehting but now i'm concerned, I now know what it's like to choke, and I was terrified....how does this happen with just flem or saliva?

thanks
Hi, I sure understand what your going through, I have this too. That is how I found your question, been looking all over the net to find
a answer. When this happens I cannot get any air at all, I keep sucking in "ithout breathing"until I start to get purple.
I dont cough at all, no air for that. I have to walk around even go outside to get air.
Yes, it takes all of your energy. You just keep praying until your ok.
So wish I could help you, but I have no answers sorry.

Blessings:

Asthmatics have an inhaler which they use in such situations, it is brochodilator spray or Albuterol which is a fast acting canister filled with a spray. You hold it infront of your open mouth and press while inhaling, it acts in seconds. A pulmonoligist/lung specialist or even regular doctor can prescribe it. It's worth giving it a try because its scary when you are gasping for breath. Just a suggestion, good luck, Donald
