Cholesterol Deposits On Eyes?

i have two one on each upper lid close to the corners of my eye some days they are thin and other days they are fat . so what am i to do i dont want them any larger.

I started having these deposits just after my pregnancy , yes its a genetic condition and not related to high cholestrol levels . Ive been to dr jamuna Pai which is one of the top skin specialist and she said theres no option but cosmetic surgery . Nomedication can cure this . The dematologist will burn the upper layer but since this is spread skin deep  we bthe doctor will only burn the upper layer it and it emergers back again . Now im looking out for the surgery option but that too will be a temporary option they might come back again

Do they look like little circles, maybe 10-15, under you lower lid?

I have these also and have very high cholesterol 8.50 ...my doctor put me on statins a month ago and they have decreased in size by a third. I would be speaking to another doctor re getting on statins if your cholesterol is high..

My eye surgeon told me this is a condition that needs to be treated and is covered by medicare and my insurance.

This is crazy and frustrating... This is a super easy cure in Hong Kong... I used to have a lot around my eyes (at least 30).. I just walked into one of the facial places (they are everywhere in Hong Kong) and paid $50 and have almost all of them removed....

I didn't have them remove the ones very close to my eyes...... now I really regret it.....because you it's so difficult and expensive to get rid of them in the US.. !

What is the brand name of the wart remover that people are using?  I can't find any wart removers in the US for use around the eyes.  I tried Compound W and my eyes swelled shut.  I have had cholesterol deposits around the eyes for ten years and am very self conscious about it.  Cholesterol level is fine and they come back with a vengence when the doctor removes them.  Garlic didn't work for me.  The pin method didn't work either. 

Could you tell us what type of doctor removed the deposits? Was it your GP or a specialist like a dermotologist? And how did this doctor remove them?

My deposits ended up by being related to sleep apnea.  Once I got the CPAP machine, the deposits disappeared.

i have one on each upper eye lid and have been to the doctor after diet ect my cholesterol is now where it sould be but the unsightly things are still there my daughter is getting married sept and i am dreading it because of these blooming things should i do as the person on here says use wart & varuca freezr spray i cant afford to go private before the wedding plzz help as i want to enjoy her wedding not hide my face all day x

Yes I am so sick of these horrible things and trying to cover them, I don't like to wear makeup that much but it is better than people saying things or staring at them. I feel horrible and grotesque with them. I am going to try the freeze spray and thanks for the post.

I have a deposit on my eyelid I tried squeezing with no success so I thought I would give garlic a try.  I scraped enough garlic to cover deposit and applied twice a day for about 5 minutes (applied neosporin once it started scabbing).  I did this for 4-5 days it burned then it blistered then scabbed I was a little scared of scarring so I stopped on the 4th day.  Today is the 5th day after stopping the garlic and yesterday I pulled a small scab off.  I was amazed that the deposit had reduced greatly in size.  I will try again next week for a few days.

I had one on each eye lid and one one under each eye a few years back. I went to the local dermtologist but they were not familiar with them. They took images and showed them to the doctor at the main office in the next county. They then had me go tothe main office which had both dermetolgists and plastic surgeons. The plastic surgeon charged me $500 to surgically remove all four. And after week or two the only evidence was slightly paler skin where they had been. I read that Guggul would halp avoid them coming back and I bought but became slack about taking it. 3 years later one is again under my eye. My husband suggested I go back and have it removed. But I am thinking I will try the wart remover first.
