I was prescribed on Ciprofloxacin for the ear infection. This is not the first time I am having bacterial ear infection, but it is the first time I am using Ciprofloxacin. I need to be advised since I am taking it orally, for what I should avoid while I am on therapy. I mean what I can or can’t eat...that stuff. So, if there is anyone who can give me some suggestions, I’ll be grateful. I had bad experiences in the past because I wasn’t warned about how I was supposed to eat while I was on therapy. Thanks.

Ok, I can help you with this. I was also on Ciprofloxacin therapy for the bacterial infection. Important thing is if you want to gain the most benefit, do not miss doses. Take Ciprofloxacin with food, just in case. I was told not to take dairy products, antacids pediatric powder, multivitamins with minerals (calcium, iron, and zinc), nutritional supplements, or sucralfate with this medicine. Well, you can take them but couple of hour before or after. I personally hate pills, so I had made suspensions. My treatment was successful, I hope your will be too. Anyway, talk about the person who prescribed you about usage of Ciprofloxacin. Good luck!
