I'm a little worried....
My girlfriend and I had sex 14 days after her last period began and her cycle is about 20-23 days long...
The condom did not break (I am positive about this fact), but she has been experiencing pain in her lower stomach off and on for the past few days (not horrible pains, but still pain).
My question is what are the chances that she is pregnant?
Although we both knew of the consequences and that abstinence is the only way not to get pregnant, we're both scared nonetheless.
Ovulation typically occurs 14 days before a girl's period, and her cycle is consistently 20-23 days in length, so she shouldn't be pregnant right?
But what about the pains in her stomach?
If anyone can help us with this that would be great.
Thanks a lot.
the pain could be caused by anything. if she's not showing any other symptoms.. i really wouldn't worry about it. and good for you for being responsible and having safe sex!!! another thing, don't always count on the ovulation dates.. if you don't want a baby, practice safe sex always!!! if she continues with the pains, get a home pregnancy test. that will ease your fears. and if it's negative, maybe she should see a dr.. good luck!!!

Stomach pain could be from anything, including her stressing herself out over nothing. I've had sex with a condom during my alleged fertile time - it didn't break, and I'm still fine. Also, the whole "ovulation at 14 days after the first day of her period" thing isn't true for all women. That's what's normal for the "typical" woman, but the fact is women of all ages can ovulate at any time during their cycle. They can ovulate during their periods, ovulate more than once, or not ovulate at all.

I would say if the condom remained intact, she should be fine - it's easy for a girl to get pregnant, but condoms aren't that ineffective. My advice, which is easier said than done, would be to try and get her to stay as calm as possible and wait until her next cycle. If it's normal, then she can rest easy. If it's different (lighter or shorter), I would suggest she take a pregnancy test just to be safe, although a messed up period in this cause may more likely be due to stress.

dont worry. same thing happened to me. im a male and didnt used a condom and thought she was pregnant because she came telling me she didnt have her period. we both thought she was pregnant, but she wasnt. why? because she was going threw depresions and when that happens a girl can miss her period. i didnt use a condom but i did nut out, but i knew some did get threw, but theres times when a girl could be pregnant but just isnt at the end.lucky me.
