My daughter suffered the first seven years of her life with episodes of nausea and vomiting that would come on randomly and rapidly. Every time we went to the ER they couldn't find anything. They would give her fluids and she would perk up. Till the next time. There wasn't any rhyme or reason for when it happened or any common links. They did blood work, she had Upper G.I. , she did a lactose breath test, Urea breath test and a Hydrogen breath test. They couldn't find anything. They decided to do endoscopy with biopsy to rule out something serious like cancer. That turned out that she did have acid reflux and she showed irritation, but nothing to answer for her symptoms. She was being followed by a Pediatric G.I specialist and at one of our follow up appointments she just laughing one moment all of a sudden turned pale and started vomiting. The Dr. said lets draw her blood right now while she is ill. They ran a test that they had been running for over six years H Pylori...Well low and behold it finally showed up but only while she was in the state of illness. Which is very weird. So they treated her with an Hpack and put her on zantac for about a year. Well after the year they decided because she was doing well with no more episodes to take her off the zantac. Well three months after she started again. This time she had bacterial overgrowth in her lower intestine. Back on the H pack and Pepcid this time. Well although the random bouts have subsided she still and will continue to suffer from acid reflux. She also has gastroparesis. So with a strict diet and antacid she is doing okay. Occasionally she will have random reccurance of the vomiting and nausea. Diet and exercise is very important.

I am in the same boat. I was diagnosed with gastroparesis initially then found out I have biliary dyskinesia and had to have my gallbladder out. The gall bladder removal helped with the stomach pain but I still deal with gastritis, gastroparesis, malabsorption, and a whole host of issues related to these. Dizziness, lethargy, unable to focus, muscle spasms, etc. my drs are great but unfortunately gi issues are notoriously hit or miss with treatments. It's really trial and errOr.

Hi my name is Krista and I am 21 years old. I know this thread is old but I really hope some of you still get on here. It's been a little over a year and I just wondered had anyone came across diagnosis? As I've read through each every one of yalls stories tears roll down my face and I have this overwhelming sense. I've been going through this now for a year and I've gotten no where. It started with diarrhea between 1am-6am I get these awful stomach cramps that wake me up and I'm in and out of the bathroom and of course leading to absolutely no sleep. About 4 months after the diarrhea started the nausea started. So then it was my stomach forcing me up into the bathroom where i hover over the trash can for the next few hours. About a month later the actual vomiting started. From then until right now i continue to have diarrhea every morning with bad cramps, sever nausea, and vomiting. Colonoscopy clear. Endoscopy clear. Stool sample clear. Cut out gluten for a while, anything with grease, dairy, wheat, caffeine, chocolate and none of it made a difference. IBS medication does not help if anything makes it worse. Blood has all been normal except for a slightly elevated WBC count every time I've had blood drawn for nearly two years. Doctors have never made anything of it or acted like it might be related so idk. What I do know is that I feel like 5 doctors later and still suffering that this is going to be the rest of my life. I've been steady weight also which doesn't make sense. I can hardly eat because I have no appetite at all. I just want to be fixed. I'm tired and I miss sleeping. I'm depressed that my life has flipped upside down and I can't fix it.

Hi guys, I’m 18 and I’ve had this for a couple of months now on and off. I’ve always had a sensitive stomach (lactose intolerance and diarrhoea whenever my period came or whenever I was particularly stressed about something) however over the past weeks it’s been pretty much non stop. I have no other symptoms except almost constant nausea, bloating and gas, and diarrhoea 1-2 times per day. I start university soon and it’s making me so stressed that I won’t be able to go out and enjoy myself, or even make it through a lecture without needing to run to the toilet. I’ve been trying peppermint and ginger teas but they’re doing very little, if anything, to improve it. Any advice?

I'm having the same problem except I'm throwing up 1 to 10 times a day and having the diarrhea and gaining weight not losing it. I've been dealing with this for 4 months and have gained 15 lbs. I'm allergic to gluten and don't have a gallbladder. I'm going in for my second endoscopy and an ultrasound of my liver because apparently my levels in my liver are low. Its starting to put a lot of stress on my job so if anyone has any info or thoughts let me know.

I had been suffering with the same thing and I didn't read all 7 pages of posts but I was looking stuff up and came across this thread
And thought I would share. I had all these same symptoms, at my gi doc office they called me the million dollar work up because I had every test under the sun done.... MRIs, cat scans, hida scan, ultrasounds, blood tests, h pylori test, colonoscopy, endoscopy, barium swallow. I was ready to pull the plug on life to be honest.... I was well underweight, nauseous all the time, constant cramping and aching, bouts of diarrhea, couldn't eat, hating life. For other reasons I ended up finding out I had endometriosis (a reproductive disease) that had affected my intestines and they were no longer functioning correctly as they had been adhered to my abdominal wall for over a decade from scar lesions caused by the endometriosis. The signs of endometriosis are very wide but mine did include very painful, heavy and irregular menstrual cycles without continuous birth control along with all of the gastrointestinal symptoms. Not saying this is a definite thing but could be a possibility if you are not finding any answers. The only way to diagnose or be able to see anything at all with endometriosis is a laparoscopic procedure, no amount of ultrasounds, MRIs, scopes, or cat scans will find it. I dont know if anyone will even see this but if this could help anyone else, it's worth posting. Hope everyone on here figured things out or is on their way to figuring things out and is at least feeling better. There are also plenty of new studies and research groups for endometriosis pain if anyone does find out they have it. Good luck to you all.
