In both sides of my body by my butt there is a bone that is so painfull at times I cannot walk. Understand it is part of the pelvis. I have been taking nutritional supplements for the joints and every pain cream, lotion that I can get. Nothing helps. I have been told by medical folk that this bone is not a joint. Any suggestion on how I can clear this crippling pain? I have a lot of traveling to do yet and cannot do it in this condition. Thanks.
hi, the most typical cause of a "pain in the butt" is ischial tuberosity. basically the two boney parts of your bum are the point at which your hamstrings connect. following an increase in exercise, a fall, or other form of trauma the hamstring and tendons in your bum will become very painful and inflamed, causing walking and sitting to hurt, usually with some assosciated pain in the lower back. the best course of treatment is to follow the rice protocol and take a standard anti-inflammatory. if this doesnt help speak to your doctor about physio. also worth trying some strengthening exercises on your glutes. hope this helps.
