Hi, I think I have a problem,I'm 17 years old and in about a week I'll be 18 but it doesn't feel that way, well, because people say and even if they don't say it I know they're thinking it that I look like a 14 year old...My height is 5 feet 8,I have lots of armpit hair and facial hair, but my penis hasn't really grown in the past 2 years and I feel like...sh*t,to be honest..It has also prevented me from getting any kind of serious girlfriend because well,I feel anxious around girls and over-thinking things that they might say...My penis is 4 inches erect , my voice hasn't deepened,it's the same as a 13 year old and I'm going out of my mind...My entire teenage life has been a living hell, and even some of my closest friends pick on me because of the above reasons....Can someone please guide me to what am I expecting,or what should I do about my life,if I should go see a doctor or keep on waiting, cause I will die if I do not have a girlfriend soon...

Thank you,and please reply soon.

Hi All,

I am a 16 year-old boy, I personally have had the same problem you all have:

I am short, hairless everywhere (except for the base of my penis), my voice hasn't deepened, small testical and penis.

In the past few months I have been seeing a Endocrinologist, after a blood test and an X-ray I started a testosterone injection treatment, once a month for three months.

One month had gone past since the treatment is over:

furunatley I can see some changes a start of a stach, a feel broader and a little stronger.

unfortunaley the main development hasn't happened: my testicals are still small and apparently I am not producing the right hormones.

Anyway the doctor decided to wait one more month, if nothing happens I'll start some kind of nureological tests (on my brain) and we'll hope for the best!

Anyway, what I'm saying is if you are 14-15 + then go see a Endocrinologist. yes, it is emmbarassing facing your parents.

But it'l be more and more emmbarasing in the future...

Good luck all!

Do the right thing..

Hey guys,

Some people go through puberty very easliy. For others, it can be challenging. If you don't think that you are developing correctly, then there is good chance that you are right. I distincly remember being 15 years old. I was 6'2'', 298lbs, average facial and body hair, and a disgustingly small penis. I am now 19 years old, 6'5'', 196 lbs, full beard and a still developing penis. Honestly, my penis just began showing signs of growth a couple months ago.

I learned that puberty isn't just a physical change, but also a psycological change. Your body and your brain work together through out your development, and if they are off balance, then your body will reflect that through it's physical appearance. I'm not going to tell the full story of how I managed to transform my body because it is very personal, but I will leave with you all some tips that helped me out.

1. Know your body. Study it. Listen to it.

2. Know your mind. Get inside of it. What bothers you? Do you carry a lot of stress? Trust your mind and your brain... the know what to do.

3. Look at your current state. Are you happy? What do you need to do to become happy?

4. Do you find yourself beautiful? How can you make yourself feel beautiful and confident?

5. How is your posture? Your spinal chord is a route of constant flowing information from brain to body and body to brain. Mental stress can cause you to slouch. Slouching puts stress on your spinal chord, which puts stress on your body.

6. How is your breathing? Being sure that you are breathing properly is key. You need plently of oxygen to fuel and heal your body. Also, having a large air capacity and keeping plenty of residual air within your lungs will help you move better and feel better, and also make your voice more powerful and resonant. Learning to breath correctly takes time, but does amazing things for your body.

7. Are you comfortable? Do you feel figity and restless? Could you afford to lose some weight or gain some weight or are you just right? Regardless, everyone should exercise. "A body in motion stays in motion." If you're overweight, like I was, and not ready to go to the gym on your own, take a friend to make you feel more comfortable. Remember, everyone begins from square one. Be motivated and confident about your activies. Eat well. Not eating enough is the absolute worst thing you can do for your body. However, listen to your body. It knows what it needs and how much. Look up your weight and height online and see how much protein you need per day. I found out that I was not eating enough protein for my size, which was causing my muscles to look small. I started eating the correct amount of protein and my muscles grew twice in a little over half a year.

8. Get rid of your stress. Your body cannot do it's thing if you have mental stress. Do things that make you happy. Sports, Crafts, Outdoor activities, Learning a musical instrument, reading, etc...

9. Educate yourself. Challenge your mind. Your mind is curious about everything. Learn, explore, find yourself.

10. Accept your body. But know that your body is constantly changing. Feel how you want to feel and take control.

11. Be patient. Your body grows on a cellular level. That's really small. It's going to take some time to see any changes. Imagine if you woke up in the morning and your body looked completely different. You might develop a mental disorder.

12. Learn the definitions of progression and regression. Always strive for progression, but accept that you may regress before you progress.

13. Don't dwell on your appearance. Don't let yourself get in your own way. Make friends, laugh often, go places, and live your life. Puberty reminds me of the phrase "watched pot never boils." It is so true. If you constantly look at yourself and wait for change, then you'll never will. Change comes with experience, and you can't experience life if you are too obsessed with yourself. So live stress free and care free while you can, because being an adult sucks. You have no money and a lot of unecessary stress.

14. Create a realistic self image of the future you. Keep it in the back of your mind always, and remind yourself daily of what you hope to become. Don't let your current appearance bother you. You are young and vulnerable to change. You know the saying "Be the change you wish to see in the world."? Your body is essentially your world. It is a product of your mind. Take care of it and love it.

Believe it or not, I think that developing later in life is a blessing. It would have been nice to be like all the other guys back in high school, but that's not how it worked out for me. If you are like me, please know you are not alone. Please know that it does get better... To become you, you have to know yourself. Knowing yourself comes with time, and the journey is sometimes very frustrating. Continue to grow and learn and develop, and at the end you should be very happy.

The easiest way to make it through puberty is to simply ignore it. Don't be obsessed with yourself. Accept change. Accept your past and present and move forward with your life. Listen to your body and let it do what it needs to do.

I hope I was helpful!! :)

P.S. Masterbation is healthy. You didn't stunt your penile growth when you began. However, how you do it effects a lot. Experiment, and find which technique allows the maximum blood flow. More blood flow = bigger penis. More blood = more nutrients. Get the picture?? :)

I'm 19, turning 20 in July. I have taken a tanner stage stage test, and I ve been graded as stage 3. I have no facial hair, only bit of upper lip hair, I've started to develop fine armpit hairs, I have pubic hair but it does not connect to my groin or thighs, I have some leg hair, but no leg hair on my thighs or upper thighs, I have no chest hair and no stomach hair, I've been noticing pores starting to grow on my hand. I have started to get pimples every once in a while.I am 5'11 (181cm) and 130lbs am I still growing and how much do I have left to grow? my feet have gone from a 9us to a 9.5 us in the last 2 or 3 months, all my friends look much older than me, I have noticed my Adams apple starting to grow, my bone age is 15,am I a late bloomer? My grandparents are both 6'5 and 6'3' does height skip a generation. I'm just sick and tired of never being taken seriously when I tell people my age, or people always comment how I have an immature face, or they gasp when I think I'm 14 or 15 and I'm not what they expect. I'm naturally tall, I just want to grow and look like soon to be 20 year olds look like, what can I do?

Puberty usually starts in middle childhood when the children reache a certain percentage of body fat stored in their body. If after the age of 15 the child still has no signs of puberty then i believe you should have them checked out. It could be a possible Kalmamm syndrome
