Hi KarenP
I know this thread is old , but want to let you and your husband know that I have experienced this after this awful surgery too.
I hope you are both doing well and all of this is a distant memory.
Hi! I am not a doctor, but only a person who believes in trying to find natural remedies to health concerns whenever possible. So please take anything that I say with a grain of salt.
It sounds to me like all of the medications your husband is taking are causing most of his problems. It is important to remember, and I think we all would agree, that many of today's prescribed medications are extremely powerful and affect everybody differently, since everybody's metabolism is unique.
I shudder when I hear about doctors prescribing medication on top of medication, without really knowing what all of the side effects may be.
Again, I'm only an individual who is sympathetic to your husband's plight. My recommendation is that you and your husband seriously consider trying to eliminate as many medications as possible, and substitute a healthy, plant-based diet as much as possible. This would include fresh fruits (bananas, applesauce, pears and other soft fruits, mashed if necessary), fruit juices, salads, and soft vegetables, such as boiled rice, mashed potatoes, soft beans, and even baby food until your husband's body heals.
This will ensure that your husband has a very nutritious diet, and will hopefully help him have easier bowel movements. I hope this helps and I wish you well.
Someone please help. I'm having anxiety from this surgery. I feel like I'm losing my mind
Hi, how's your husband now? I had hemerrhoids banded about 2 months ago, and feel totally depressed and anxious a lot of the time, and right now it seems really bad. There is definitely a link between the anus and the mind and I feel what ever I've had done it's changed me. If anyone out there recognises this please help?
Thank you
Thank you
I had one hemorrhoid banded 20 days ago and the pain is still incredible.
I called my Dr today to ask for stronger pain relievers and/or anxiety meds. They said no and to stick it out.
It is driving me crazy.
How are all of you on this thread now? Hopefully better.
I think it's a shame doctors aren't completely truthful about the aftermath of these procedures.
