Hi, I have a very sensitive skin, so easy to irritate, which resulted in an awfull and very painfull skin rash. I work as a house-wife and washing up the laundry is really bad for my hands. They are really irritated and look like an open wound. So far I have tried numerous products, non of them worked on my skin, it just wan`t heal, and I simply cannot stop this painful itch. a friend who studies medicine said it could be dermatographism.

According to your symptoms, you are probably suffering from dermatograhism, an itchy rash, a most usual form of hives, which occurs in 5% of population. It is usually followed by redness and itch. Constant rubbing of the skin (like you do it with the laundry) causes the hives, and dermatographism, as we said, is a common form of hives. This skin rash can also be a reaction to an irritant, such as chemicals, or poisonous plants. Dermatographism can be calmed with ointment, cortisone cream, or some anti-inflammatory drugs. However, you should see your dermatologist first.
