My father has been Diagnosed with Cerebral atrophy. He is 77 year old and he has been showing some symptoms of a senile person. Still, I did not believe that it would come to this. I thought that sometimes a small disorientation and being unable to multiply simple numbers will be all the problems he will have, but I was wrong. Is there hope for my father?
I am afraid that your father is suffering from a serious condition that will not go away easily, if at all. Cerebral atrophy is actually a consequence of some other, underlying condition (senile dementia, Alzheimer’s and other). I suppose which one it is will be determined in the near future. Whatever the disease, its progress can only be somewhat slowed down, not stopped. I am sorry.
