My husband had nuclear stress test done last month and his results showed that he has left ventricular ejection fraction of 85, while normal values are around 60. His cardiologist didn’t seemed too concerned with the result, just saying that he’ll keep monitoring it and my husband just brushed it off as nothing in particular, but my anxiety, I guess, didn’t give me peace so I looked online what could this high ejection fraction mean and I haven’t really found a satisfying answer.
Some people claim that this means his heart is ‘overworking’ itself while he’s resting, but he is taking his angina meds regularly and we haven’t noticed anything different. So, if anyone could help - does this result mean anything, or is it just an odd piece of data?
