Hi, my father is 51 years old and his gallbladder was removed two weeks ago. Operation passed very well and he felt good after that. Soon after operation he got diarrhea and it still lasts. I would like to know if this diarrhea is caused by gallbladder or there is no connection between these two things.

Hi, I also had operation of gallbladder several years ago. I also had diarrhea for several weeks and it was caused by removal of gallbladder. When gallbladder is in function it collects ferments from pancreas and liver and than it goes further to intestines. When gallbladder is removed this things goes directly and intestines need some time to accommodate on new condition.
