Ive had diahreha for 6 months, the only thing that has helped to some degree is probiotics.... I can't get control of this in anyway... What can I try to at least help this problem?
It all started when I had strep throat and my doctor gave me antibiotics. I had diarrhea for about a month or so, uncontrollable, 5 or 6 visits to the bathroom with really no relief but the effort made my stomach feel better...
It went away during my fire season thank god, but right after the season it came back again... And now I've had it since... Worse than before... I went to see my physician and he took a sample and told me about Imodium and also gave me some antibiotics to hopefully take care of the problem.... Well it obviously hasn't helped...
I'm 24 a healthy person, I stay fit eat fairly healthy, and am pretty active... It's not only painful being in this state but embarrassing...
My girlfriend doesn't understand, sometimes I'll wake up multiple times to use the toilet and she always asks y... And really it's I have no choice, it's the only thing that will make me feel better.
Reading many others complaints, signs, and symptoms seems very repetitive... Doctor will say something but it won't help, taking out gallbladders would sound like a fix to the problem but people r still having this problem for 6+ years...
I feel like the doctor is to tunnel visioned to actually do some research and use there medical knowledge and truly investigate this problem...
I don't want this to last any longer than it has to, please anyone out there with some good knowledge or expierence in maybe fixing this issue please help!!!
And please I don't need a whole bunch of people trying to self diagnose my issue. I no it could be ibs, or a upper gi, or whatever. What has worked for them cuz all I've found is limit my dairy consumption and taking probiotics
What about trying a gluten free diet as well for a couple of weeks. There are a lot of different bowel disorders and your doctor should be sending you to a gastroenterologist for further testing if you think you need it. When it comes to bowel disorders you need to be your own advocate.
Good luck and hope this helps
