So this is my first time being pregnant (8 weeks) and it's been quite the emotional roller coaster with hormone changes, back pain, nausea, keen sense of smell, headaches, breast tenderness, morning vomiting, etc.

Yesterday, I woke up to the unusual lack of nausea and feeling the need to vomit and overall feeling more like my chipper self.

First thing I thought was, could I have miscarried? Although I have read that miscarriage is normally accompanied by bleeding without pain and losing tissue through the vagina... I still sort of freaked out. It was just weird to suddenly lose nauseousness.

The night before I had used those "all natural detox foot pads" which I'm sure many of you have seen advertised on tv. My fiance suggested "Maybe they just work that well!" trying to cheer me up. But I don't know if that's quite true...

I'm just wondering if anyone could help me. I don't have another doctor's appointment for another week and I'm very anxious to know. %-)

You would have known for sure if you were loosing your baby. The lack of nausea could be a good thing for you. Many women have nausea only for a very short time in the early stages of pregnancy, you may be beyond that now. You would have seen something indicating that you were in trouble. I would relax and just wait until you see your Doctor. Tell him what is going on and he may do an ultrasound to insure that the pregnancy is still viable.

I agree that you would know for certain if you miscarried- there is no mistaking it when it happens. Between 8-10 weeks, HCG levels peak and start to level off, and symptoms can suddenly disappear- this is not necessarily indicative of miscarriage, but rather that your body is getting used to the hormones. Call your Dr, let him/her know your concerns and ask for bloodwork/ultrasound to check for sure.

You're right!!!

I was just so worried that I was thinking completely irrationally.

I have had on and off days with the morning sickness. Sometimes, I feel sick. Other times, I'm fine. But now, I've leveled off and my body seems to be used to having a baby inside of me and all the extra hormones.

Thank you.
