I am 17 years old and it seems that no matter how much sleep I get -- it's usually an average of nine hours, although sometimes it gets down to seven, depending on my homework load -- I find that I have very little energy. I've tried taking naps, I have a fitness class each morning, and I am sleeping on a pretty good quality bed. It is hurting my ability to get around quite a bit. How do I take care of this?
Depression can cause a person to sleep too much or too little. Depression can also drain a person's energy in major ways. If you are indeed depressed, you will need to find out the cause of your depression in order to deal with it. Any major life changes such as the loss or death of a loved one, change in career or loss of a job, recovery from a major illness, or the recent credit crunch and recession can all cause a person to become depressed.
