I quit going to parties for the most part. Work parties are teh suck, all these people do is stand around blabbing about work. I'm anti-social anymore. so I don't drink any more or any less this time of year than normal.
I don't think I really drink more, I just take the rest of the year to prep!
Back when I used to imbibe I drank less at those times because I didn't like associating with amateur drinkers. I gave that up in '81 when I saw the light ---- it was blue and flashing. I figure that state cop probably saved my life.
I drink less, mostly because the alcoholic drinks I like are cold and it's rarely warm enough indoors to be drinking iced drinks.
I drink less at social functions. But I don't attend any social functions so no, drinking hasn't diminished.
