Hi, I have breast cancer. I am trying to deal the best I can with this diagnose, I did not let go, I tell myself to be brave and fight this condition. And that is how I survive my day. I am currently undergoing radiotherapy. But, I have symptoms like nausea, weakness, I vomit sometimes (I know this is because of my therapy). Doctor told me to use Dolasetron. Does Dolasetron block the 5HT3 receptors in the brain and gut?
Dolasetron effectively blocks 5HT3 receptors in the brain and abdomen and belongs to a group of antagonists of 5HT3 receptors. It deals successfully with nausea and weakness caused by radiotherapy (this radio treatment could seriously damage the mucus of digestive path). Unwanted side effects are constipation, headaches, feeling of being warm, face redness
