I am 5 months pregnant and I have serious problems with my bowels. It seems that they don't work as they should. I feel nausea that is not connected with pregnancy; it appears every time I eat. Also I am burping all the time. I am afraid about the baby because I eat less then usual. I would like to use metoclopramide as I have before in similar situations but I dont know can I take it while I am pregnant.
My wife has been taking it while she was pregnant so I have some information that may interest and help you. Metoclopramide is in the FDA pregnancy category B. It means that it could be used in pregnancy but only if it is necessary and with knowledge, recommendation and close look up from the doctor. It passes into breast milk so it is not good to take it while breast feeding. My wife took it and she did fine. Talk to your doctor, if there are no other solutions you can take it.
