I never had much experience with precum until recently with my current boyfriend. It can happen at any time while he is excited and he can go for a long time during foreplay. During foreplay, it actually works well as a lubricant- which is always fun. He continues to release small amounts of precum up until he actual ejaculates (cums) in the end. Even pre-cum contains semen and could cause a pregnancy. If you are looking to prevent pregnancy, you really should be using some form of birth control and a condom.
