Yep, exactly same problem here, sometimes little red spots appear on the head too. I know myself to be STD free as went for a test and came back negative.
The 'willy doctor' as I shall call her (can you imagine!!) said it looked like I suffered from plain old dry skin, when skin is dry it is not as effective at keeping out infection and bacteria as usual and so it tends to not only go rough and when erect result in 'tearing' of the skin but also allows infection or similar to flare up. Best advice is to wash with an aquaeous cream as opposed to soap, soap is bad, really bad for dry skin conditions. Chemist should be able to point you towards a soap free cleaner for yourself, use all over if req'd, not just for dry manhoods! I have not done this yet but intend to this week as this is a recent thing for me and I'm late 20's.
Very important to keep self clean and moist down there, without using soap. Two soakings a day should help. Mine flared up after sex last week, the friction and subsequent period before cleaning let nasty stuff in resulting in a flare up, wash immediately after sex to avoid this. I learned my lesson! Also try to wash after having a pee if poss as when urine hangs around it breaks down into nasty stuff which could cause infection or soreness.
Hope this helps but the doctor is the best person to see, they see willies all day long so nothiig to be afraid of.

I highly suggest that all of you young men who are having dry skin issues make an appt with your Dr now. If you are still on your parents insurance and too embarrased to tell your folks, simply say you are having dry itchy skin and it isn't clearing up. The Dr will most likely prescribe a steriod cream to help. If it doesn't improve make sure you return to your Dr as the next step is to be referred to a Dermatologist. There is a minor possibility that this could be something more severe, such as skin cancer. Do not wait, do not hesitate, see your Dr ASAP.

Its actually your skin healing. Its like when you get bruises, you notice the skin forms a protective hard layer ina few days and then it peels off itself in a few days.... Its the same thing but lots off them too tiny microscopic. It appears as a dry skin. Apply any oil that is applicable to face, like coconut oil or baby oil etc.. it will go away in 1 or 2 days...

I'm 15 and a virgin and haven't participated in oral sex either and my foreskin is dry and it seems like loose skin but most of it isn't, it doesn't hurt or anything either. This only came about last night/today. Does anyone know any good creams or something I can use (obtainable in England) because I'm to embarressed to go see my doctor. So if anyone could help it would be apreciated. :-)

It sounds like a mild form of balanitis xerotica obliterans, I recommend a steroid cream called Daktacort available on prescription from your GP, there is non steroid creams available but not as affective. I hope this helps you guys.

I think it's probably because u take baths with really hot water and that's what may make ur penus dry because I use to had that and stopped taking hot showers and it stopped but came back cause I think when I took a bath the water was too hot

I just wanted to make sure that I have the Same problem as everyone here. Is your penis kind of wrinkly when its not erect. And there seems to be dried skin from the top of the head all the way down the base?? I have only noticed this several days ago and attempted to scrub off the skin. Some has come off easily but especially the penis head and toppart of shaft is not budging. Ive read all comments above and try all creams and oils recommended.

It seems to me that you have the EXACT same problem as me. I wish I knew how to solve it XD. Anybody have any solutions that are likely to work? Besides going to the doctor?

Looks like everyone who is suffering from this goggles about it and ends up at this or other similar pages leaving a comment. Comments are not so helpfull solution wise but it sure gives a feeling of empathy, like 'i m not the only one'. Anyways, even i have the same thing i guess, it started with white spots which kept increasing in size and new ones appearing too. The penis seems wrinkly when not errect as many of you said. And later the white region just peels of leaving a red spot under the peeled skin with little wet texture initially which later dries up to be somewhat like a normal skin again, in a while. I did my research, i think its some kinda fungal infection. Any solutions please

this sounds like Bxo, a sterious problem, try manuka honey and this sounds weird but hairdrying your penis to remove mositure before appling. Bxo removes elasticity from the foreskin and can also cause diffculty to retracting the penis. if the skin is whiter than normal then i sugguest to go to the doctor.

I have this same exact problem.  Mine gets to the point where it drys out so much it starts to crack and I get sores on my foreskin, not very fun during intercourse.  I also get an uncontrolable itching down in my scrotum.  I will scratch it, but it never gets rid of the itch.

So here is my simple solution to avoid going to see the doctor and it works every time.  Simple lotion, I use Luberderm myself, but any lotion will do.  It helps with the itching in the scrotum as well.  Be prepared as if you have scratched the area at all the lotion will burn intensly when first applied.  However, knowing that the pain will bring relief in a couple short minuites the pain is actually enjoyable.  Once you do it, you'll know what I mean.  If you want to skip the pain process simply apply lotion before you itch, then the relief happens with very little pain.  I usually do clean the area before I apply the lotion, and you really should keep the foreskin retracted until the lotion can absorb into the skin if you want to avoid messy little white gloobs around the head area.  I don't think its harmful at all, but I personally am not fond of finding those things down there.

Anyways, this should help, if it doesn't work, at least I have no other ideas.
