I have had this issue twice for about three days in the past two months. I'm 30 years old and I've never had it before but I'm not worrying about it too much. I think it might be due to the type of washing lotion I use more than anything else. Because I'm lazy I use hair lotion (recently Patene) for my whole body.

This is dry skin. Stop using soaps on the shaft. Just need to clean off with water. Clean the skin with not harsh or perfume soap. That's the worst for your skin around the jewels. Use cream if dry and don't dry rub.
