Mix some alum powder with warm water. Make a thick solution and wash it over and under the skin. It is safe. Trust me, the next day you will see wonders. No more tackiness, no foul smell. Old dirty sludge rolls out when you wash the next day.

antibiotics could be the source of your problem, they cause yeast infections

it seems as though applying soap directly to the glans of the male foreskin and the inner folds will make it have the "band aid" effect you are experiencing. To properly maintain hygiene GENTLY wash the penis with mild soap and warm water while showering.

I read on a different website to wash your penis first with water only, then retract the skin and then blow dry it completely and then use baby powder.. I have tried it and it definitely works.... don't not keep it moist and wet , it will not heal..

I'm aged 51 and ceasing to use soap on the foreskin and glans while washing in the shower resolved this issue for me. I'm now just using water and my thumb to rub off the thin white layer that forms each night (not sure if smegma or yeast). I'd used soap for years, but recently this issue of the foreskin sticking to the glans in small patches started occurring. When rolling back the foreskin it would rip or tear the glans and cause it to bleed a little bit. This hurt a bit and was a somewhat alarming. I encountered this because I had been rolling back the foreskin during the day each time I peed to try and stabilize what I thought might be yeast or thrush infection, it was then that the sticking occurred. I found that if I rolled it very slowly and stopped if I could see it was sticking, it would not tear and then a few hours later, it would detach if I tried again. I had recently started drying the foreskin and glans with a towel after bathing to help stabilize it too by not providing excess moisture for yeast to grow. Without the soap, the skin is now much more healthy and perhaps it wasn't yeast but just smegma, I'm still not sure. But the bottom line is my not using soap anymore is resulting in much more healthy foreskin. Sometimes when showering it would feel like a burning sensation when rolling foreskin back over glans after cleaning, this led me to believe it might be yeast.

Every time i do that my penis is softer than ever. What sucls is that it will come back in 12 minuts or so. If u fixdd this already and recomend stuff for me to do please let me know.

I have the same problem please help me! My foreskin is sticking to the glans and the glans is dry and often has a white film that rubs off in the shower. I have tried yeast infection creams, the oral fluconazole, the peeing method, all kinds of moisturizers but nothing helps. I havent tried the baking soda yet but it sounds kinda scary. Now im trying to keep the foreskin drawn back at all times to see if that works.

Ive also had a frenulum surgery for two times and now my foreskin is a bit tight in one spot. Im thinking if this could've limited bloodflow to the glans and resulted in the dryness and stickiness. So im thinking that it could be normal dryness, but then again when i read these kinds of topics with many many men having this same issue i start to think that there should be an answer! Why is this problem so similar with many men but yet it hasnt been solved properly yet!?

Okay, so I would like to preface this by saying that I am not 100% sure if I have the same issue as the rest of the guys here, but I certainly have been suffering a similar issue. I have had Phimosis for the majority of my life and was unable to retract my foreskin fully until around 3 years ago. Because of this I never really learned proper care and hygiene practices. So even after overcoming Phimosis I was still quite lazy with washing, that was until last year when I began to be more diligent with it. And at that time I began experiencing the band aid effect, pretty much the same exact symptoms described here on the forum, stickiness with no explanation after multiple doctor visits. However, on the final visit to my urologist I noticed something that intrigued me, the manner in which my doctor actually handled the foreskin. Now to make more sense of this, when I started experiencing the issue I would simply pull back my foreskin while washing, and just push it right back. I would push the foreskin back with my fingers actually gripping the edge of the foreskin. Every time without fail when I did this, the foreskin would be sticky, causing the opening of the foreskin to be stuck tightly to the glans and exposing it. And of course I could just never find a solution to why this was. Well, back to the way the doctor handled it, I noticed that instead of simply gripping the edge of the foreskin and pushing it back, he gripped some skin on the shaft and rolled it upwards until the foreskin was in the forward position again. When he did this there was no longer any of the glans exposed, the foreskin wasn't thin and tightly sticking like normal. The foreskin completely covered the glans exactly as I remember before this whole ordeal happened. From then on I've been pulling forward my foreskin in the same fashion and the problem is solved! It seems as though the manner in which I was retracting and pushing forward was exposing the glans making it dry. I don't have a clue if this is what the rest of you are dealing with, but I just wanted to maybe give you guys some hope by me solving my issue. I wish you all luck in solving this!

I am 60 and recently started to have this sticking problem as well as a couple of red marks on head of penis.
I was circumcised within a day or so of birth, my father believed it was a good thing for hygiene but he told the doctor to just remove the end of the sheath (the tight bit on end) and leave a cover for the penis head.
So I have a cover yet can easily pull back to clean. I have been celibate for a decade so I do not have a std.
When i have a bath or shower I pull sheath back and use soap and then make sure I rinse properly, I have done this all my adult life with no problems, was married have 3 children (adults now) and this problem has only been happening for last few weeks. I tried using an antiseptic cream, it doesn't work very well. So I will see Doctor in a few days and see what he says and will post advice on here. I`m glad its not just me, though that`s not so good for you guys.

I'm sure there are different causes and different possible solutions, but what I will recommend (and this may sound funny) is COCONUT OIL. The good thing about it is that it not only moisturizes and nurtures the skin, it also has strong anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. It's also available in just about any store.
I started suffering from this problem maybe 5 months ago, when I had a yeast infection, which I likely got from my girlfriend. It freaked me out and I started washing/cleaning my penis constantly. This is counter-productive because it dries out the skin, and dry skin is more vulnerable to more infections.
My skin on my penile-head became rough, wrinkly and almost leathery, and tore off easily. Then I read about coconut oil, and within days there was huge improvement.
1. Make sure you wash your penis and foreskin thoroughly with ONLY warm water in the shower. No soaps, nothing with any chemical ingredients.
2. Make sure the foreskin stays retracted until everything is completely dry, as moisture is bad. Use hairdryer if you have to, but not too hot. Don't use towels as they have bacteria.
3. Apply liquid coconut oil to inside of foreskin and penile head (note coconut oil melts just slightly above room temperature)
4. Return foreskin to normal position. Reapply oil after maybe 20 minutes or so, as some of it will be absorbed quickly. This will get you through the day without the foreskin sticking because it stays lubricated all day thanks to the oil.
5. Repeat steps in the evening, and again next morning, etc.
6. Don't stop when you see improvement, but keep going.
7. Every few days, try and go one day without oil after washing and see what happens. If it's still dry and sticky, keep going. You can't overdo it, coconut oil is extremely beneficial regardless.
8. I noticed minor improvement after about 4 days, and major improvement after about 10 days. I'm almost back to normal now.
9. Apply the oil after sex too, as friction can cause more issues if your skin is already vulnerable and dry.

Use cold-pressed virgin coconut oil, as it't the most natural kind.

Good luck guys. Trust me it works. And if it doesn't, it definitely wont't harm you, so you got nothing to lose.
