I had a molar #18 extracted on June 5 which turned into a dry socket. It has been one of the most horrific experiences in my life. Here it is Sept and although I am better than in the beginning, I am still having pain and discomfort. I have been to two dentists including an oral surgeon who say that it is healing (the socket is almost closed) but that it can take quite a while for a dry socket to completely heal. I must have the worst case on record.
Has anyone out there had this same experience. I would love to hear from someone.

i have had a drysocket for three weeks now mine is also closing but still aches in the socket area im also about ready to loose my mind did yours ache too like this and how long did yours hurt im trusting in god to heal mine ive had it packed three times and bone fragments done i guess it will all seem ok soon as possible i pray , god bless you all mindy
