I had both in 2008. No more bleeding and no worries about pregnancy. Slight pelvic discomfort for a couple days, but now I'm great!

I had the rollerball ablation & bilateral tubal ligation with salpingectomy on yesterday. I think each person's experience will be different. The procedures went well. The key may be to rest & continue meds as directed. I have the bloating feeling from the gas but get up and walk when I feel that pressure. I do have bloody discharge currently. Although they said it's a 2-3 day recovery period, I'm taking extra precaution for myself by taking a three extra days from work & do minimal anything. I believe the rest with small walks will help ease me back to normal. I'm 45 & understand the body takes time to heal no matter how major or minor the procedure. You have to remember that while you may feel good in the outside, it still takes time for the inside to heal.

I had the tubal and novasure at the same time in 2016. I spot a couple days each month which is great compared to the 4 days of extremely heavy periods of my past. My dr. Informed me before the surgery that I would still have cramps. The cramps are absolutely horrible and debilitating. They feel worse than before and my husband has taken me to the Dr once because I couldn't walk they hurt so badly. My Dr checked me out and said everything looked great and sent me home. A year later, here I still am in excruciating pain with my heating pad. I read that limiting caffeine and sugars from my diet will help. I'm going to try that. I do know I was feeling better today BUT I had a diet coke and the pain returned full force ....so it's possible my flares are related to caffeine. I hope because I can control that.

I had ablation, tubal ligation, d&c, and some endometriosis cut out on DEC 29 2017. I am one month post op and so far so good, I was terrified to have this done but was needed to try to stop heavy cycles to help with anemia. The pain after was not too bad and like many others I was able to stop pain meds within days, it was a little hard sitting up and getting out of bed, I did have watery discharge for exactly 3 weeks and it went away completely. I haven’t had cramps or any side effects yet and I had bad cramps before I had it done but I’ve only missed one period so far so we shall see how long this lasts. The gas pains after stung a bit, but when u expect it and know what it is then u just go along with it. So far I would recommend this procedure. I have no bleeding no cramping no bloating, I sometimes forget I had it done.

Had a tubaligation and the ablation today. After surgery woke up and told my Dr. I loved her and that I loved my husband and Can Cun was wonderful! Throat is scratchy and aside from the bloating and occasional pangs of pain from the incision, I would say I am not feeling too bad. I will update tomorrow.

Day 2 - didn’t sleep well last night but not necessarily from pain but just couldn’t quite get to sleep. Did not take pain meds at night but had to this morning. The most uncomfortable part is the bloating. Very little discharge, a panty liner will do.

I had an ablation on Jan 26, 2018 & a bilateral tubal ligation. Its been almost 2m and I'm still bleeding like I'm having a normal period with the normal clotting. A pantiliner is insufficient, the bloating is horrid, dinner days I'm in horrible pain, and my OB/GYN insists it's not what I'm making it out to be. I'm at my wit's end

I’ve just had it done and I’ve been specifically told that due to keyhole wounds I cannot drive for 10days as won’t be covered by insurance. I’ve felt like I’ve been through ringer, a day case ended up an overnight case as I didn’t take the anaesthetic well and my bladder failed to wake up til next day despite being full!
You aren’t suoooed to do anything for 24hrs post anaesthetic - no decision making legal or otherwise, driving, being in charge of nids, nothing - can’t belivee you went to a meeting an drove within first 48hrs!!

Would you mind doing a follow up to see if it did lighten or even eliminate your period? I am scheduled to get this done next year and I am scared to death.
