No tampons allowed apparently. It's a horrid side effect but its only been 12 days since the op. It has stopped the heavy bleeding but this is just as bad.

Im 2 weeks post ablation & it's still happening. I had my 2 week check up today & dr said everything is healing normally. If the ablation works, it will be worth it. But, yes it smells some and is VERY irritating. You'll need to wear a panty liner.

I'm one week post procedure. My doctor did not mention the watery discharge at all so when I started having it I was wondering what was going on. Reading all of these comments has me worried I may have a long road ahead of me. I'm hoping it ends soon and I wish my doctor had been more upfront about it.

I had d & c & novasure done on 30th Dec,I was told that they have to do it because of the fibroid causing heavy periods. Its almost 2 weeks i am still bleeding ,passed few clots.I am so depressed.Had a follow up today & my Dr told me that they couldn't reach the fibroid ,I was in total shock as i asked them to give me some medicine to avoid this procedure & they (it was her assistant) told me that we have to remove this fibroid so we have to do this procedure..Now i was being told that at times this doesn't work so we have to try medicine & then if nothing works hysterectomy is the only option.
Anyone going for this procedure, please discuss each & every possible detail before going for it.
I am hoping & praying this works for me :(
Please remember me in your prayers.

I know this is an old post, but after an ablation, no tampons or any vaginal activity until your doctor says you can.

I had mine done December 2013 I believe and now 3+ years later, STILL have the nasty discharge....I shouldn't have waited so long but as a mother, you put yourself on the back burner....I have to wear a pantyliner everyday and change it at least once...Wash with feminine wash...Use baby powder when I get out of the shower and nothing helps....Started seeing a new guy and I hope I get to my new obgyn before we think about sex...I'll be putting that off as long as possible...The discharge can be a milky color or a yellow color and it has a weird consistency...every once in awhile I get dark red/brown blood...So gross. I probably have to have something else done?

I had mine done back in Sept n I still have the discharge. It's irritating... it's not much just enough where you have to wear a liner.

They tell you not to use tampons because of bacteria in the discharge. You have to wear pads. I just had this done 2 weeks ago and I still have the discharge. It does not smell but it does make you feel like you have pee'd your pants on occasion because the discharge is warm. Its disgusting.
