I am about to undergo sigmoidoscopy and my doc suggested I used en enema to clean my bowels. I thought I would use laxatives but he said that enemas would take care of the problem sooner and that it would take me only about half an hour.
I am not so sure about enemas. I am not so sure I would want to feel anything going up my butt. Are there any other guys who have been through this! How bad is it? Thanks
Talk about thirty minutes! I had an extreme urge after 5 minutes. I managed not to expel it for another ten minutes and then I couldn’t take it anymore. I don’t know what to tell you, it is not so comfortable. The water going in is not so bad although you do feel a pressure. I was like a balloon in no time and was in the toilet all the time in case I couldn’t hold it. I stood there and watched myself looking like a pregnant woman in a mirror. When I couldn’t take it anymore it was a blast-if you know what I mean. I think I got it all out. It wasn’t my fave thing of the day but I managed.
