Thank you - this is my diagnosis too after a chest X-ray, three Mri's from different angles & loads of tests.
It's still protruding (RH clavicle) - affects my arm strength and is painful. Occasionally when bending I feel like it's restricting my windpipe as its approx the size of a small egg now!
I've been told to work on the muscles to counteract the loss of strength & am being sent for paininjections- but still don't understand why/how this has happened.

I work construction . im always in pain so i didnt notice my clavical bone protruding out .till it became painful when i was leaning on something and on a lay off . i was trying to find out how much time it took to heal but its starting to sound more like its dissociated. Has anyone continued to do heavy duty work with this ? Will it cause me to be on disability if i return to work . i lost my insurance because i havent been working due to the pain and afraid id broken it .

I have an enlarged cervicle. I just went to my doctor yesterday all worried I had cancer. I am 52 with stenosis in my neck. I fell twice 4 years ago. Once off my bike, landed on my right side ( hip and shoulder) second time with a grocery cart on my right side again. (hip and shoulder) neither time was bad enough to notice any direct pain to my shoulder or collarbone. My doc diagnosed me with Ostioarthritis. My age, falling on my right side, the bump on the right side and having stenosis all points to that. Ji asked about cancer... He asked... "Are you throwing up blood?", no- "Have you lost a lot of weight?" No- Have you had annual mammograms?" Yes- He's my regular doctor and has noticed it has been there for a while. So just wanted to let you worriers know... Many of his patients have what I have.... And you may have the same. My advice though is to have it checked.

trichinella spiralis - affects the spine, bones, lymph system, gets everywhere in the body!!!
but mostly impacts the shoulders, neck, upper arms and face and head, tongue, ears etc.;
these little critters transfer through the lymphatic system; when they are in the intestines, they cause a lot of abdominal pain, then terrible pain in the spine - the travelling larva stages literally get everywhere and cause a bad inflammation and pain

I was told by my physician that it is arthritis. It does not hurt, but seems to be getting bigger.. I did have an injury to my right shoulder. I assume it is from that. Seriously considering a second opinion. I would think an xray could tell something.

Try looking for a licensed acupuncturist who is well-versed in Traditional Chinese Medicine or a practitioner of Acutonics (applying sound to acupressure points on the body--this method is non-invasive). These modalities work on a variety of mental, physical, and emotional maladies. You don't "have to live with it."

3 years ago, I was having bad pain on my left side of my clavicle, where it meets the sternum, and I had a knot there as well, the pain was extremely bad when sleeping at night....I went to my PCP, he did blood work and it was discovered that I had Lyme disease, he started treatment, and soon after the lump was gone, along with the pain....I am now dealing with it on my right side....I'm curious if any of you have or had Lyme disease?

Hi I was in a car accident recently (driver wearing a seatbelt) I have pain and stiffness in this area and it's obvious to touch and see that the clavicle bone is protruding. Is this something that an X-ray and CT scan can miss? Because I've seen 3 doctors and had 2 of each done and everyone says it's normal but I'm in a lot of pain with a lot of stiffness in my chest in that area.

I fell about three months ago and my collar bone hurt a little. Did an xray and it wasn't broken. It's been three months and now it is protruding and very painful. The pain radiates down my chest, my shoulder and also going up my neck. T
hey want me to have a cat scan, but insurance is putting it toward my deductible, which is a large deductible. Do you think it is worth having this test done?
