Once I turned 51, I too have had a similar experience with a 23 pound weight gain. I tried gluten free and dairy free diets to see if that would help. I exercise daily and do not eat much - it is so frustrating! My doctor did not have any suggestions.

I also had the same problems; after multiple specialists and tests over 7 months had a simple CT scan that showed grapefruit size masses, one on each ovary. Also turned out to be non-cancerous but a simple ultrasound might have diagnosed it much sooner.

Get tested for colitis or chines I too was told I had is. Turns out I have coitus. Get a colonscospy. They prescription is an attiinflatory does of 10 pills a day.... it's not the solution....best info I got that actually changed my life was "FIND YOUR TIGER FOODS" I am now free from pills and bloating. 6 months no reoccur encephalitis feel great. Ultrasounds don't diagnose these conditions. Best of luck hope this info was helpful. Note 46yrs old diagnosed in 2004 .

Stress can cause the bloating I deal with it all the time along with thyroid issues.

my latest fix is NO GLUTEN/DAIRY (or rarely) and whole flax seeds, brown or golden, added to whatever (because the seeds don't have that nasty flavor that other flax stuff does)
I did a few multi-pill activated charcoal sessions like once a week for 2-3 weeks . . .
I have not gotten that bloating in a month!
The flax seeds seems to keep things really flowing, no matter what I ingest, they even make these tasty crackers called "flackers" at whole foods if you ask the clerk
BUT those get old real quick! The seeds by themselves are super cheap like $2-$3 a pound! i add them to smoothies, salad, mash potatoes, eggs, anything and everything
I specifically used them AFTER the couple charcoal
I am pretty sure the charcoal absorbed whatever gnarly stuff was in my gut, then kept it flowing after that and NO more BLOAT

this is the first time in 2 years I haven't had this problem
both flax and the activated charcoal are super cheap too!
and pretty harmless!

Where do you purchase the activated charcoal and how do you take or use it? Thank you in advance for your response.

I got it at Sprouts, but they sell it everywhere . . . at grocery stores, walmart . . . in the vitamin aisle sometimes in stomach, digestion or medicine aisles ...
I believe you can take two a half hour before meals and two after . . .
lots and lots of water!
this is also a great indicator how fast your digestive system is working, because in 72 hours it should pass through the bowels but if it takes longer, you know there maybe an issue or slowing in your system!

otherwise, completely harmless and absorbs any c**p in your tract
i would avoid psych meds or any med not absolutely not necessary that day, just to give it a break and so it doesn't get absorbed by the charcoal... your body considers all meds a "toxin" by the way

Hi, I have had this same problems for years. Most of the time I keep it at bay, by taking over the Counter STOOL SOFTENER! Not just any S. Softener, the only one that has ever worked for me has two different meds in one Tablet. I get it at Wal - Mart, in the Pharmacy area- it's called ( Equate Stool Softener ) the two meds are ( Docusate sodium 50 mg. & sennosides 8.6 mg ) the label looks more Green than the Blue labeled one that will not work!!
If I were more Computer literate, I can take a photo of the Bottle to post 4 All To see.

Now, I have taken this for years, I take 10 Tablets at bedtime & it's usually all released with your Morning ( White Throne Visit)..
My dosage is very High, because I am on a Pain Patch for Nueropothy.
Good Luck to all of you, I hope it works as good for all of you like it does for me.

The same for me. First an ANA test needs to be done, with all titers checked. This is in addition to ALL labs. Chrohns disease is one especially for the young ones. It can show up as Sjorgens Syndrome, sclerederma, lupus, or other connective tissue disorders. The bowls and intestines are affected. Check for skin irritations. Also teeth play a factor. Just start there and good luck to all.
