I am suffering with the same problem, I am so bloated I can't fit in any of my clothes. Sometimes my stomach sticks out that much I feel I am going to burst! I am only 21 years old and all this has started from having a bladder infection, apparently the antibiotics and pain killers (co-dydramol) has interfered with my bowels and has made me like this. Currently I am being tested for Coeliac disease the doctor is pretty confident I have it. Been on a gluten free diet for 3 days now and I feel a tiny bit better not much though.. Been told to try Charcoal Capsules they will hopefully reduce my bloating I hope. Will let you all know how I get on and good luck to everyone. :)

I have had the same problem and have been through a barrage of gastroenterologist testing. No diagnosis, no remedy!!! I have to wear loose fitting tops and elastic waistband pants. Never had this problem before. Curious about possible aspartame poisoning or metformin use. Any ideas?

I am 59 and I have had stomach bloating since I was 54. I look 6 months pragnant.

Swollen from under my breast down to my pubic bone. Around the waist, very swollen. I have gained 15 pounds. I went to the doctor and had a dnc, small cysts removed.

It is still swollen and miserable. I take Swiss Kriss, a natural laxactive, but the swelling comes back. I do not no what to do.

I wholly appreciate the pain and discomfort everyone is experiencing. If it's any consolation, I'm also going through and have gone through the same thing in the past. I've seen doctors, gynos and finally a holistic approach applied kinesiologist was the one to help me. I didn't believe it at first, but I can testify that the only thing that made a real difference to me was what I was ingesting. Food AND drink. I changed my diet completely and within a month, I was feeling so, so, so much better in my mind and body that I was beside myself. Of course, since then, I let it slide but a few years later, here I am again.

So, as of 1st May, I'm going back to doing what he taught me to do all those years ago (7 years, it started when I was 40).

NOTE: You have to record EVERYTHING you put into your body so you can see what happens as the changes begin.

DRINK: ONLY water / fresh sliced ginger tea / fresh mint tea / naturally decaff tea.
(Drink 1 gallon of water a day)

FOOD:
Bfast: 2 eggs, spinach, avocado, cooked in olive oil
Mid-Morning Snack: cucumber ( or dark green veggies) / meat
Lunch: Green lettuces, kale, cucumber, celery, avocado, ( or dark green veggies) / white meat or fish
Mid-Afternoon Snack: cucumber ( or dark green veggies) / meat
Dinner: broccoli / zucchini / asparagus / spinach ( or dark green veggies) / fish or white meat

Absolutely NOTHING else including seasoning (salt etc.), any dairy at all, no nuts, no fruit (too much sugar), no alcohol, basically just dark green vegetables and meat, with fish at least 5 times a week or daily.

I know it sounds like you can never eat again, but the reality is, what we put into our bodies really does affect how they function and over the years, the build up of rubbish in our bodies due to the amount of sugar and processed foods we put in them, means they literally just 'stop' functioning. After a while, you simply don't want the foods you used to eat because your body says no thanks. And whilst that might sound like your life will change for the worst, in my experience, it actually changes your perspective to the world - and most importantly yourself - than you can realize.

I know so many women who have experienced this. It is not uncommon. There is an answer but the answer is - you have to own what you eat.
