Rhinitis, this is what the ent said I have after a year of sprays and reflux medication tests, and everything you described.

You can use table salt and baking soda mixture and squirt it up your nose and tilt head back 4 times a day and with any luck after several months or years it will reverse.

Or they can sow your nose closed and the problem will go away ............. Cheers.

I have this exact problem. I have grown up not telling anybody cause I was afraid they would have to operate on me. I've kept this a secret for as long as I can rememeber. Just recently I said something to my mom cause I finally got the courage up to look it up. I found out that others had it and I wasn't so different. Then I was afraid it'd kill me so I still worry day and night. I'm glad someone else has this exact problem. And I would adopt you but I've got some dan and phil to watch ✌

Do you floss? People who don't floss every night (or at least every other night) tend to have bad breath because the toothbrush doesnt remove food from between the teeth. More and more food get a trapped over time. Food that sits in the garbage can for more than a week starts to smell bad, so imagine how your mouth smells with several months' worth of food particles accumulating. You might also try rinsing with hydrogen peroxide. It's a great antibacterial. Also, there's a great flouride rinse called Periomed. My dentist office sells for about $16 per bottle. It lasts for the entire 6 months between visits, and then some.

I have found something that works very well for me!! I myself am having basically these same symptoms after brushing my teeth, ( I now use baking soda and or water before bed,it helps) and after eating dark chocolate. What I use to keep mucus at bay is " FENUGREEK" . I use Natures Way fenugreek. It comes in capsule form, 610 mg for 2 capsules. I pay about $8 for a 180 capsule bottle. I take 2 capsules in the morning and then 2 more about 1 or 2 hours before bed.It normally takes about 20 to 30 mins to work and it works well.(for me it does) I started using fenugreek and OMG!! it has helped so muchI hope this helps you and everyone else on this board.Give it a try!

I have exact symptoms, its been two years, my ANA titer test is positive, potassium is low, glucose is high, cholesterol Is high, don't know how, cause I can't eat noting that has it, it seems. During this I have lost 40 lbs as well. ALWAYS coughing from brushing my teeth, and from eating any of those things you mentioned, they keep testing, so many different kinds of Doctors, also told me they think I have acid reflex or gerd. Not even sure...but still giving me medicine for that and but not helping at all. I serious think, this all started since I had a tick bite, but can't be sure...I'm also feeling my neck feeling stiff, chest pain, and really thinking it might be my lymph nodes, but they won't give me a bone marrow test, someone told me that would give me answers. Let me know if you find out something.

I am 79 yrs old (female), and for about a year have had a hoarse and weak  voice that coincides with excessive mucous.  I have all my life had a soft voice, but I could raise my voice if needed, and I could sing.  Now, I cannot yell or speak loudly, and I have noticed that when I try singing even softly, my voice drifts off tune.    My vocal cords (folds) have been scoped by three different health care providers, and two report they see nothing unusual on them, the third did say there is a slightly weak (looks slightly stretched) appearance on one side of my vocal cords.  I am aware occasionally of acid reflux.  Mostly it is when I eat too late (after 6 pm).  No one has suggested any cause of the excessive mucous that is made in my throat.  I am aware of food sensitivities, so this week have removed bread from my diet, and cut back on dairy (have occasional small amount of organic Greek yogurt with frozen blue berries, also some Havarti or Mozarella cheese maybe 3 times per week).  I don't eat tomatoes, nor bell peppers, but being a life-long New Mexican I do eat Green Chiles on my eggs, and in beans, and other foods.  Recently I have started drinking 4 ounces of George's Aloe Vera Juice at bedtime.  It is easy on the taste buds because it tastes like water, but I have noticed that since I started drinking it in the evening, I have not had the reflux experience (also if no eating after 6pm).  Drinking it makes my stomach feels good.  It has not shown any affect on my voice as yet.  I am hoping it will begin to help with my voice after using it for extended period of time.  I invite any information--comments, tips, suggestions, or personal stories from readers.  Thank you, LG

A mucus seems to collect in my throat, possibly due to sinus problems. Also, I'm having trouble swallowing and food is collecting and not going down into the stomach. Are these two problems connected?
