Hi! For quite some time I have been noticing that I had more saliva than I had had before. Is it in my imagination or could it be for real? What are the possible reasons? Thank you
HI! There could be quite a few reasons that I know of that could be causing excessive saliva amounts. You didn’t report if you were taking any sorts of medications. Different drugs like lithium, clozapine, nitrazepam, etc could be making me produce more saliva. Although you didn’t say if you were male or female, I should let you know that some women tend to produce more saliva in the second part of their menstrual cycles. You should certainly see a dentists. S/he may check if there’s tooth decay, an infection or crooked teeth and determine if one of these causes are troubling you. If not, s/he may also determine what could be causing it.
I've been having excessive saliva, and sometimes mucus for 4 months now. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
