I was born with two and a half kidneys and an extra ureter. The kidney functions well, but I had to get the ureter taken out when I was still little because it was causing backup of my urine. Since surgery, I have never had any problems. However, I was curious if having extra kidneys could be connected in any way to anemia.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hi MiliGirl,
There are many types of anemia, some can be caused by kidney problems, others by vitamin deficiencies.
They can also occur from your menstrual cycle.
Ask the doctor who diagnosed the anemia what the cause is.
