Hey alicia - wow i really admire you to be able to handle the work and being a full time student while going through all these. I know i couldn't. I had a panic attack at work and eversince then i'm scared to go back there.. that was 2 months ago.
I get the tiredness feeling - feels like your body has no energy.. jelly legs and all that most especially during the first 2 months off. Now i feel it every now and then most after waking up.
If i could wish on anything - it will be to spare all of us in this misery. I will keep on praying for that everyday.

Exactly, I hate how it’s just readily handed out. I didn’t even know side effects could last for longer than a month. It’s crazy to say but I don’t even think the doctors fully understand what the pill does to us.
I really hope that soon I will start to feel the same. I don’t want this to ruin my relationship I just sometimes feel like I can find better and that I don’t need to be going through this. He’s really a great guy and idk why I would ever feel this way, it stinks. I hope I recover soon along with all of you.

I can't imagine feeling that way towards my partner :( I'm really sorry you're feeling that way..
As for me i feel really tired as soon as i woke up, i also had moderate cramps so I guess I'll be having my period soon. That should explain the fatigue, drowsiness and all thse things im feeling. Do you also feel symptoms arise before your period?

It has always been “normal” for me to. I would always feel cramps, sore and tired about the week before my period. It’s actually been really weird though because my last two periods I had no symptoms before my period. I’ve just randomly got it. I’m a very irregular person so I never know when it’s coming but I can usually feel it before it comes.
Ugh i just hate how my nerves are so sensitive now about everything i feel! Im so tired of it. Im scared of even the slightest physical symptom.. in scared of thinking of the worst things. I just want this to be all over and i want to ger back to my life

I’m with my boyfriend now and I just feel so blah! like idk I just don’t feel any connection anymore. It’s right after my period so that might be why but I’m just not okay. Idk what to do anymore please help me girls
So i’m feeling pretty decent today, still feel off but my mind is actually quite. I read a news article in the morning and I was a little bothered because I felt I did not react to the article appropriately. Which is something I have struggled with on and off throughout this experience like sometimes I feel like I know how I feel but emotionally I don’t react accordingly idk if that makes any sense whatsoever but was wondering if any of you ladies had a similar experience. This time around it’s not as bad as at the very beginning where I just felt like I was some terrible person, now it’s more like I know who I am and how I feel but I’m just not myself at the moment so my reactions are more muted.
Hi! hang in there.. all our irrational thoughts and our weird feelings will go away as soon as we get rid of this synthetic hormones out of our system. As soon as we regulate our own hormones you will feel the love again. If it helps i know of some women who went through the same thing as yours and they got their feelings back :)

I feel like that sometimes too - the best way I always put it is that im numb. I can't feel or react the way i used to. Probably brought about by the depression and fear oy my anxiety most esp the first 2 months or so...
It'a like our minds were trained not to feel anything during those times so that we wont be overwhelemed or go crazy once we feel bad..
Download the app Abide if just in case you are into prayer meditation :) Helps me a lot

Hello all,
I wanted to share my experience with you. I also have the same exact symptoms like all of you, I am very depressed and anxious and having frequent panic attacks. Every little thing I feel gives me anxiety and now when I wake up I am afraid that I will feel awful again. Yesterday I thought of going to ER because of my heart rate, I felt so bad I had to lay down. Today I was ok, but when I came to work, anxiety was there and almost had a panic attack. It has been month and a half since I stopped birth control, My mornings are the worst, I am not sure if that is because I took the pill in the morning usually. I stopped drinking coffee because all of this, I am afraid to go out or be among people. I was feeling good but then 3 days before my period it was all worse. I hope I will feel better when my period is over.
I was wondering if any of you had problems with tingling in arms and legs, and does any of you have pale skin since stopping? I also wake up wet from sweat at night... Hot flashes almost everyday. The weirdest symptom I have is that my thighs sweat during night, I wake up and my thighs are soaked in sweat. I also have chest pin, head pressure, ear pressure, dizziness. I went to see my doctor, I had my blood checked, my neck, I had EKG and all was fine but I am still worried that something is wrong with my health.
Have any of you tried Maca powder? I am drinking it for 3 days now, I am also taking multivitamins, omega-3 and b complex. I will also try acupuncture because this is getting unbearable. I am a web developer and it really affects my job.
Thank you all from sharing you stories, it makes dealing with this much easier!

Hi there! Im sorry to hear that you are one of us who has been victimized by the pill :( How long were you taking it before stopping?
I'm off 3 months this coming Sunday and i still have setbacks. There are ok days compared to the first 2 months off where almost everyday is a bad or so-so day. When I was off a month a half that's the only time i figured it out - that what I have been feeling is because I stopped the pill. Only by then I started to see a naturopathic doctor and went to my acupuncture sessions. It helped me a lot and slowly i can see some improvements.
I have the tingling arms and legs most especially my first 2 months off. Put that together with a lot of scary physical anxiety symptoms that always makes me want to to to the ER because I was frightened.
Reading your post I felt like I was reading my own writing because I too feels worst in the mornings most of the time. I feel jelly legs and arms when i wake up sometimes and i hate that. I'm also afraid of going out esp in crowded places and i haven't been out of the houze for 2 months and a half! The only time i go out is for my doctor's visit & acupuncture sessions. I was a very social and energetic person before this pill nightmare. And oh, i stopped working because of this. I admire you for beinh able to still go to work.
I haven't tried MACA powder. So far I only drink L-theanine prescribed by my Naturopath. Soon im gonna start with magnesium daily. As for vitamins I take Vit C, Vit b1,b6,b12 & Iron with folic acid. I also eat healthier now.. i cut off caffeine & sugar completely.
Try meditation - it helps with my anxiety spikes.
I'm praying everyday for all of us. This experience is definitely life changing.

Thank you so much for your reply!
I went to see my gynecologist yesterday after I took my hormone levels tested (I tested prolactin, LH and FSH - the results were normal). I told her about all my symptoms and she said that my body is experiencing withdrawal from the pill, something similar to what addicts experience when going of a drug. She said that this could be caused by the pill. She recommended that I take some artichoke tincture which is great for this. I also asked her about Maca powder, and she said that Maca is also good and that I can keep drinking it but the results will be noticed after 14 days of drinking it.
She calmed me a bit, anxiety is now bearable.
Thank you all for the support!

I forgot to add, I took Lindynette for a few years, I made a 3 month break from it a year ago because I started to get a lot of acne on my face and thought it was because of it. I didn't have any withdrawal symptoms then and my face didn't get any better so I started to take it again. After a few months I decided to try other pill to help me deal with acne and my doctor prescribed Estal, I took them for 6 months. My face was a little better. During the time I was taking the pill my hair started to get real thin and dry, I thought it was because of the hair dye but i have to admit, among all of this bad stuff, my face is clear again and my hair is better after quitting the pill so at least there is something good in all of this :)
Hope everyone is doing well! Currently on the longest cycle since having stopped birth control (this is my 8th month off) and on day 37. I typically get my period around 29-31 days. I took two pregnancy tests and they were negative. Last week I had pretty much all the period symptoms and this week I’ve been cramping on and off. Hopefully I’ll get my cycle soon. Goes to show you how out of wack or bodies can be so far along!
I’m 9 months off and I’m still struggling! It’s crazy how long this recovery could take. Makes no sense to me!!!
