Did you ever find out what caused it? I've had this for three months

What the ENT told me, is that the artery is laying too close to the inner ear and that is why we hear the whooshing heartbeat noises. I've had this off and on for 25 years. It sucks but you get used to it.

The sound that bothers you.. if it causes you to feel anger and rage during it and you hate the sound and have to get away from hearing it you feel like you're going crazy? That could be Misophonia.

Every time I'm pregnant I get the whoosh beats in my brain... As though my brain has a heart beat of its own, but it coincides with my heartbeat. I hear it due to the artery that passes close to my ear on its way to my brain as well as feel it throughout body (most prominent around around skull).

Could this be due to the increased blood volume that normally accompanies pregnancy? Dehydration? Increase in hormones?

It makes me dizzy, nauseous, and super tired.

I have a AVM (arterio venous malformation) and get whooshing in my ear and hear loud heartbeat in my ear when I wake up. A AVM is where a artery and vein join together, where normally there joined together by a capillary, hence the blood flow is faster. That's why I get the noises. I'm
Not saying you have AVM , but noises in the ear should be referred to neurologist.

I'm 32, I have been having this for a few months now... it's not constant but it sounds like a basketball in my right ear. Anyway, it's so annoying. I found that I was also having a lot of muscle spasms all over my body. Just little twitches and such. I began taking magnesium and when I do it stops. I feel that the two corolate. I got a good quality magnesium supplement for a local whole body store... it's helped me a lot with the inner ear pulsing. Or taking an epsom salt bath is helpful too. Hope this help y'all!!

I'm going to be 60 at the end of August, female. Lately I can hear my heater in my left or right ear not both at same time, after mild exertion. I'm on top floor of 3-story apartment and it's worse after I walk up 28 stairs. I'm already on high blood pressure meds. Why is this happening?? I'm not over weight or totally sedentary. Thank you,

I had pulsitis tinnitus in my right ear, I saw ENT and they went through sinus route, it wasn't sinuses, I had a MRI and was confirmed I had a AVM , I had a craniotomy (brain surgery) and the noise has completely gone. Best thing I ever did. Even though I didn't feel it was at the time

I have this and have had many tests including a CTI scan and blood pressure checks. I was told that the sound is always there but the human brain turns off our internal head noises. For some people you can hear your heart faintly but then you start to worry about it and tune into the noise. Your brain then starts to recognise it and it becomes louder. If you have had tests and they come back fine then I would not worry about it. Everyone is different and unique but I appreciate that this can be annoying.
